A 40 year record of 592 points scored in a single season, held by Tom Pitts, was broken by Nathan Lessing on Feb. 13. Feb. 13, Nathan scored 38 points against Miami East, bringing his single season scoring record to 622 points. Nathan currently has been averaging 28 points per game. The majority of Nathan’s points come from scoring inside the three point range. Those 2 point shots, do add up!! After the Feb. 13 game, Nathan has a career total of 1,488 points. He has the ability, if he stays with an average scoring of 28 points per game, to become the first player in County history to reach 2,000 points in his High School career. As the Jets continue on into tournament play, the points that Nathan scores will only help to cement the possibility of a single scoring record that may never be broken. Congratulations Nathan……Fairlawn is proud and humbled by your accomplishments.
